Day 3, part 2: 11/12/16
It was a short ride back to the hotel, where Nick fell asleep immediately, and I headed out to pick up the purchases I’d had sent over from Epcot the previous day, and to take some pictures around this beautiful resort.
After my picture taking was done, I too took a nap. When we woke up, we decided not to try to head back to Epcot to catch a later concert. Instead we hobbled down to the food court for dinner. Gumbo for Nick, jambalaya for me. Both were shockingly good for a hotel food court. And that gumbo is a steal!
Refreshed, we hopped on a bus over to the Magic Kingdom. The trip over was short, and then we had just a brief wait for the resort monorail. It was time to go see some hotel Christmas decorations.
First stop, Contemporary.
Next stop? No decorations at the Polynesian. But that’s ok. We weren’t looking for decorations here. Our goal on this chilly evening where I’d forgotten to change or put on a jacket? Pineapple floats!! We enjoyed those immensely, outside, even though I was shivering by the time I finished mine.
Next we decided to see if we could get into Trader Sam’s. There was a 90 minute wait. Umm...maybe next time.
Finally, it was time for Nick to check out the gingerbread house at the Red Roof. The lobby was a lot busier than it had been the night before, but it was still fun. He’d seen plenty of pictures from me, and yet he was still amazed at just how big that thing really is. We both enjoyed this stop.
